Music legend Dolly Parton triggers a new social media hit with an Instagram picture

music legend Dolly Parton caused a sensation on social media with a meaningful posting and thus launched the #DollyPartonChallenge. What’s behind it?

Be a mega-star on Instagram at 74? No problem with Dolly Parton. With a posting about the different display options in the social networks, she has now created an Internet trend. Under the hashtag #DollyPartonChallenge, there are a lot of postings that show which photos are uploaded on which channels.

On LinkedIn, the users’ ambition is to appear as professional as possible. On Facebook, the users look relatively normal. The whole thing looks a bit different on Instagram, which, as we know, only shows photos and videos. On the partner search network Tinder, users usually appear a little more permissive and lascivious, so as not to appear close to potential partners.

Parton posted a picture with a collage of four photos showing all the situations in the social networks. The singer wrote under her Instagram post: “Get yourself a woman who can do anything” and then showed herself in four different poses and items of clothing in the four networks mentioned.

Numerous Hollywood stars were animated by this to do the same and to post pictures in which they show how they are on the respective networks. With her posting, Parton denounces the frequent self-dramatization, which has increased significantly due to the activity on social networks.

US presenter Ellen DeGeneres joined in and wrote under her four pictures: “When my agent asks if I can play different roles.” Other participants in the challenge included Drew Barrymore, Miley Cyrus, and Jennifer Garner. WDR presenter Anna Planken also took part and posted a picture with her “Morgenmagazin” colleague Till Nassif.

Until Saturday morning, about 200,000 postings with the hashtag #DollyPartonChallenge were made on Instagram alone. The postings of the stars have already been licked and shared millions of times.
