Medical Student and Content Creator Kumail Hussain Shares Tips to Avoid Burnout

Medical student burnout is a prevalent issue considering the exhausting routine and tedious program it is. It tends to bring on stressors that not all students can bear. Hence, when passionate students are loaded with the cumbersome task, burnout is bound to happen. Burnout consists of immense distress, high emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and low self-esteem. Addressing this common issue amongst students of today is very important to make sure that it does not hamper the productivity and mental well being of the individuals. 

Kumail Hussain has suffered from the detrimental effects of burnout firsthand. Raised in a Pakistani-American family, his childhood was troubled with the tragic death of his mother, grave financial issues, and an overall dysfunctional family setup. He emerged a hero through the turmoil he calls life all because of his warrior-like mindset, restless soul, and endless pursuit to be successful. Today, Kumail is a medical student in Chicago Medical School aspiring to be a medical doctor.
