The photo that won the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards

It’s the contest for the funniest and funniest pictures of animals, and even the images that didn’t win are doing pretty well in terms of sympathy.

The winning images of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards, which awards the funniest pictures of animals, have been announced. The photo chosen as the best of the whole contest was taken by Sarah Skinner and is entitled Grab life by the …! (take breath by the …!) and shows a lion cub playing with an adult specimen in Botswana.
The picture of Harry Walker showing an otter with its legs on its snout, entitled Oh My. won the public vote instead. Other images awarded in special categories are those of Vlado Pirsa of two birds that seem to be fighting, entitled Family Disagreement, and Elaine Kruerm, who won the prize for a best portfolio for First Comes Love, a series of four images starring Xero del Capo in South Africa. The following are the other winning images among the approximately four thousand who participated in the competition.
The competition was founded by two professional photographers and environmental enthusiasts, Paul Joynson-Hicks and Tom Sullam, to raise awareness of wildlife and ecological conservation in a light and positive way together. Announcing the winners were recommended to remember some small daily actions to help our planet, such as responsible shopping and using recyclable products, or being careful not to waste water at home with very long showers. Anyone with fun pictures of animals can enter the competition. The photos from the game have also been collected in a book: part of the proceeds will go to the Born Free Foundation, a charity that deals with the protection of wild animals, with which the competition collaborates.
