Why Katie Godfrey Launched an International Beauty Training Academy

Katie Godfrey entered the beauty industry by launching her salon, KG Salon in 2009 with the help of bank loans and debt. However, as a dedicated entrepreneur, Katie spent all her time mastering the art of running a salon. And no matter what knockbacks came along the way, she still kept growing. As a result, her hard work and passion came to life when her Bedfordshire beauty salon became a go-to destination for all beauty treatments.

Empowered by her success, Katie was determined to help other people struggling to work for themselves or become more employable by gaining qualifications in short courses. Thus, she launched KG Professional, an international beauty training academy and product range where training and products run hand in hand with each other. Her goal was to become known globally for top quality products and services so that she could raise standards across salons and within the beauty industry. She launched KG Professional in multiple areas including Bedfordshire, Southampton, Gloucestershire, Derbyshire, Milton Keynes, Sussex, and Essex. Soon Katie became known as one of the first trainers in the UK to teach Russian Volume Lashes, who flew to New York to learn and bring back the techniques.

To further encourage other startups and business owners, Katie has her own podcast, “The Life Of KG”, where she covers everything about beauty and business. From guidance on starting and growing a business to interviews with top industry experts, her podcast has it all. And even though her focus is on the hair and beauty space, the episodes are still helpful for anyone running a business since Katie also shares her own personal experience along the way.

Thus, Katie’s consistency to grow her work has helped her become a well known personality in a relatively short time period. She is also the part of Amazon’s number 1 selling book “Extraordinary Women”, and the author of another book called “Successful Women in Business”. Recently, the successful entrepreneur has won the 3rd “Inspirational Women of the Year” in 2020, as well as the award for “Health & Beauty Franchise of the Year 2020” at Livewire Excellence Awards.
