Food trend: does protein fluff really help you lose weight?

Anyone who wants to build up muscles successfully should opt for a low-calorie, but high-protein diet and will sooner or later become aware of the Protein Fluff food trend – it not only looks perfect, it should even help you lose weight.
Whether as a snack for in between, as a delicious dessert, or as a topping for a healthy bowl – Protein-Fluff is a real all-rounder.

Especially among fitness enthusiasts and all those who want to lose weight, the protein snack is trendy at the moment – it promises maximum protein content but few calories.

This is the protein-rich snack

The protein bomb is simply made of egg white – if you beat it stiff with a hand mixer or whisk, for example, you get the fluffy-looking mass.

By the way, this mass tastes like nothing – 100 grams of pure fluff have only about 50 calories, but 11 grams of protein.

If you supplement the protein cloud with sugar, sweeteners, or various toppings, you will, of course, automatically add more calories.

According to the German Society for Nutrition (DGE), an adult should consume about 0.8 grams of protein per kilo of body weight every day – so the fluffy protein mass fits perfectly.

It’s so easy to prepare protein fluff

For a portion of protein fluff of about 100 grams, you need about three eggs – for these, you first have to separate the yolk from the egg white.

In order not to waste anything, you can use the remaining egg yolk for scrambled eggs or a delicious omelet with vegetables, for example.

To find out when the egg white has a perfect consistency, you can hold the bowl upside down after mixing – if the protein fluff does not dissolve, it is complete.

Now there are no more limits to creativity – if you like it more hearty, you can also salt the fluffy mass.

But also different fruits like raspberries, blueberries, strawberries or bananas, almond slivers, or dark chocolate are suitable to spice up the protein-fluff.

Therefore Protein-Fluff can help you lose weight
Since the fluffy snack contains an unusually high amount of proteins, it can help lose weight.

Protein-rich foods are more filling in the long term than carbohydrates, for example, and thus prevent ravenous appetite attacks.

This makes it easier to resist temptation and thus save calories at the same time – a moderate calorie deficit is a key to any successful weight loss.

A protein-rich diet also contributes to better muscle building. This is important because muscle mass burns a lot of calories – even when resting.

Also, the Protein Fluff is a good alternative when the desire for sweets overcomes you – sweeten the mass with date syrup or honey and refine with toppings.
