“Elegance is refusal.” ― Coco Chanel
It’s easy to accept. It doesn’t take much daring. We learn from the journey of the young fashion designer, entrepreneur, and environmentalist Samantha Jones that when you can dare to refuse, you can dare to dream. Despite the challenges, she refused to give up on her dreams and launched Beau Swim in 2021. Later, she refused to accept the age-old norms of the fashion industry and decided to create her path by redefining beauty standards and reshaping a future that is not only profitable but sustainable.
Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Samantha grew up with her sister and had a great childhood raised by her loving parents. As a child, she recognized her passion for fashion and was fortunate to attend a high school offering fashion and sewing classes. Samantha dreamed of owning a clothing brand, but it seemed impossible.
The day you give up on your dreams is the day you give up on yourself.
Later, Samantha moved to Los Angeles to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in DTLA (FIDM). She studied Merchandising Product Development and received a BS in Business Management. Through education, she developed an entrepreneurial mindset and found the confidence to start Beau Swim, a luxury sustainable swimwear brand.
Since its inception, Beau Swim has made waves in the industry and graced the ramps at events like Miami Swim Week 2021 and Monaco Swim Week 2022. They’re invitees to the Miami Swim Week 2022 in July. Samantha proudly shares that the impressive reviews and feedback Bea Swim receives motivate her to continue meeting the customers’ utmost satisfaction by delivering luxurious swimwear while also helping the environment.
What gives Beau Swim the edge over the competition is that they are a luxury brand with an environment-friendly approach. They use eco dying on printed material, and their fabrics are imported from Italy and shipped to the Beau Swim factory in Bali. They use ECONYL, a premium quality fabric made from ocean waste/plastic. Beau Swim takes customer service to the next level, and their reasonable prices make shopping with them convenient and more affordable.
Samantha is proud of having manifested a lifestyle for herself where she makes a living out of doing what she loves. She credits her perseverance and time management skills for her remarkable success and believes this is only the beginning. While trying to get Beau Swim into more Boutiques and establish an exclusive store, Samantha is determined to expand the brand globally. She also aspires to venture into sleep/loungewear, body oils, and sunscreens.
Summing up her plans for the brand, Samantha says, “I would love for people worldwide to know what Beau Swim is and want to shop with us!”
