David Tracy is not only an award-winning marketing strategist – he is also a visionary and a diplomat with a mind-bending YouTube food show, Midnight Food Coma. He has led an international life, traveling extensively all through his early years because his parents owned a nonprofit organization focused on helping native tribes. This created an appeal to collaborate with people, with diverse cultures being present within him. This eventually led to the creation of his marketing agency Northgate.
David developed his love for food while traveling to multiple destinations. He’s especially entranced by the authentic Asian flavors and believes that they offer a colorful palette that allows for exotic flavors which can become increasingly addictive. His food channel, Midnight Food Coma offers the audience a chance to explore multiple destinations and their flavorful cuisines. The initial idea behind its creation was to have a special space for sharing some of the most loved recipes but with an exciting fun twist.
Ever since the launch of the first video, David has improved upon concepts before finally concluding that food is the engine behind all our worldly connections. A good dish, thoughtfully prepared, can have a significant impact as it can bring people closer to each other – helping them create strong bonds irrespective of their cultural differences.
After the onset of the pandemic, we are no longer alien to the ideas of persisting sorrows and health concerns. David believes that what we eat greatly influences our healing processes. He is a cancer survivor himself, and learned early on that life is a precious commodity, and you cannot waste a moment of your time on Earth.
We continuously seek comfort in the food we eat as it helps us relate to the people around us. David believes that we come together to form bonds over food that can last forever, and that is exactly what Midnight Food Coma is about. Set in an eighty’s retro scene, the show offers great entertainment, while introducing some delicious exotic dishes. David’s hosting skills are pretty impressive as well; he takes you on a foodgasm journey of delectable Asian treats, from Kimchi to Musubi, and his audience is transported to a new world of flavors.
David says that the Midnight Food Show is, “A psychedelic YouTube series focused on Asian cuisine & vibrant eateries around the globe.” You never know what to expect from the next upcoming episode, and that takes it to a whole new level of interest. There can be a video about alien abductions, and quite suddenly, you will find him lost on a deserted island – then, in the next video, you will find David calmly drinking his beloved boba tea. This creative take has gained him a plethora of international viewers, who have come together under the umbrella of his food show, sharing their own food stories in the comment section.
A certified chef and a sci-fi movie buff himself, David started cooking for a great number of volunteers during his early teen years because of his parent’s nonprofit work. This is also the reason why he started Midnight Food Coma; he thinks that marketing and culinary arts are both parts of the same hospitality facet. “You are inviting people to partake in a service,” he says, ”presenting them with either your marketing services or serving some quality food to enjoy and feel good about.“
David introduces multiple exotic eateries from around the world to spread his love for Asian food, to bridge gaps between societies, and to help people form strong bonds. He believes that good food has the power to heal, and presenting it in an entertaining way through Midnight Food Coma brings some fun into everyday life.
