Founder of Essentique, Mandana Navi, Shares Why Self-Care Is a Lot More than Beauty

If your compassion, love, and care are not for your own self, you are bound to remain unsatisfied and incomplete. Indulging in self-care is the ultimate way to unplug and gear up for a new day and a new you. And what is better than thoughtfully curated, natural and non-toxic products in this overly toxic world that support your health, wellness, and beauty goals altogether? Mandana Navi brings self-care to the table at her boutique, Essentique, in Palo Alto, CA.

Mandana as a little girl was taught to take care of herself with bio-actives found in nature all around her. Her mother encouraged her to find beauty solutions in nature and stay away from synthetic products. This developed her creativity and closeness to nature. For instance, she found different plants which would help her lighten her hair, like apple tree leaves and chamomile flowers. That one DIY project set the stage for her incredible natural beauty brand, Essentique. This is where she believes her journey of creating natural remedies started.

While working as a biologist in various clinics and hospitals, Mandana never felt at home and kept feeling the urge to do something bigger. With the idea of a line of natural beauty products in mind, she got her MBA followed by cosmetic education from prestigious cosmetic schools and started working on her novelty formulas for her new brand. It took her years to finally come up with different formulas based on the science of natural ingredients, meticulously chosen for herself and her clients personal self-care regimen.

Self-care is the first step toward a better lifestyle and a better you. It is essentially a lot more than just skin and hair care. Mandana believes self-care encompasses all the different aspects of human existence: body and mind. Introducing a holistic self-care routine will produce more significant results than any beauty or cosmetics therapy. Self-care with natural ingredients allows your body to heal from the inside and outside and makes your body, skin, and hair glow with health and satisfaction.

Focusing on mental health as part of self-care, Mandana incorporated various essential oils with therapeutic effects, such as reducing stress, anxiety and boosting the sense of wellbeing, making every scent behind each product more than just another scent. In addition, in order to value and acknowledge every person’s unique being, Mandana caters to the skin and hair needs of each of her private clients with her organic, all-natural approach, by creating custom and hand-made products in her private cosmetic lab.

Customers always remark about the experience of visiting Essentique in Palo Alto. As soon as they enter, it is like a breath of fresh air – from its calming atmosphere to the luxurious products and attentive service. Mandana has gone above and beyond to ensure that customers feel more than at home during their visit!Click here to find out more about Mandana and her one-of-a-kind store Essentique.
